Review of Sumo Omni Lounge SumoLounge Bean Bag Chair Pillow

The Sumo Omni seems to be made of durable material and is a comfortable item. However, the photographs used in all of the company's examples are a little misleading. For one thing, the girl in the photos is very petite. The average person is not going to be sitting on it in the way she is, because the average person is not five feet tall.

The other issue is that in all of the examples, they are clearly double-stuffing the bean bag. To achieve a lot of the configured positions shown in examples, you would need to spend another fifty bucks to buy additional Sumo "beans" to fill the bag with. The amount of beans or stuffing that comes by default is just enough so that if you hold the bag up on its end and shook it a whole bunch, the beans would reach about a foot or so high.

In conclusion, this is a solid product and probably the best of breed for the price. However, if you're an averaged sized adult you are going to want the spring for the extra stuffing, which will raise the price significantly.

Review of Fatboy Marimekko Unikko Original Lounge Bags

If you love Marimekko fabric designs, you'll likely quite enjoy this pillow-for-giants version of the iconic "Unikko" pattern. I'd give it 4-5 stars if not for the horribly lazy delivery -- it was left on an uncovered porch in a thundering rainstorm, and I'm still waiting to see if the "damp" smell will fade away. The fabric is a sturdy coated nylon (much like a messenger bag fabric), but the lounge bag was delivered in only the "fatboy" box (no outer packaging from amazon), and the lounge bag was slumped in the box without even a simple clear plastic bag or wrap around it. So basically, the lounge bag sat directly in soaked cardboard for several hours and came out smelling... not good.To be clear, the problem is not with the lounge bag but rather with the inadequate packaging and the incompetent delivery service. If you do order this item, try to make sure you're at home when it arrives!!

Review of Le Corbusier Chaise Lounge Chair, black leather

Beware of cheap imitations i.e. make sure you have sat in any model of this type of chair before purchasing. I made a mistake and purchased one online (not at Amazon). It turned out to be a cheaply made reproduction. This is what was wrong with mine.

The straps supporting the padding are not very strong. Therefore the seating sinks a lot and does not give firm support. Overtime this will give in even more as the steel clips loose strength.

The steel frame does not balance evenly on the base. So the frame has to lie crooked for all 4 corners to touch the base.

One of the bars is too long, so I had to bring it to a machine shop and cut 2/8ths of an inch off it.

It's going to Goodwill. I figure the tax deduction is more than the cost of paying shipping both ways.

Review of Faulkner XL Recliner Navy Padded with Padded Arms

I saw these chairs years ago while vacationing in Maine but they were out of my price range so I forgot about them. Man, am I sorry about that!! I ordered my recliner 3 days ago and got it today.As soon as I SAT in it I knew it was great, but when I reclined in it I was in heaven.

The heighth of the SEAT of the chair is several inches higher than most other chairs. That makes it so much easier to get in and out of. This IS THE MOST COMFORTABLE chair/recliner I have ever been in.I decided to replace my recliner in the living room with one of these Zero gravity recliners.I am also looking for one to use in the bedroom to lounge in before bedtime.

I didn't realize they came in padded and not padded. Fortunately, I chose the padded. It is very comfortable. I also got the XL and love the roominess of it.The extra length is nice also. Very fast delivery, great price and I have nothing to complain about.

PS: I am getting a few more of these for the yard also.

We bought this sofa for our 15 month old daughter. First we were a little anxious getting this chair without seeing any reviews but we are very happy with this chair. Our daughter reads books on this chair, has snacks, watches tv, and hides behind the chair to play hide and seek. We researched thoroughly to get the best chair for her and would definitely prefer this one to many other popular ones like Pottery Barn's Anywhere chair because
1) It is easy to clean the surface; it almost feels like real leather.

I purchased these online and got them less than a week.I am thrilled with this purchase.The design goes well with both contemporary & traditional decor.The chaises are solid and appear to be well built.* The cushions, although made in a stain-getting off-white, are comfortable enough.There are 2 matching-fabric covered buttons on the front of the cushion for what I can only assume was for looks.

Before buying this item, I looked everywhere trying to get the dimensions of the cushions to get quotes on getting new ones.I didn't find them online anywhere, but now that I have these, here are the measurements in case anyone needs them:
* The cushion itself is approx 3" thick.
* The cushion is in 2 parts - one for the seat back and one that is the seat bottom (where your legs go) and are connected with a piece of flat fabric.
* The SEAT BACK cushion measures: 25" wide x 28" long.
* The SEAT BOTTOM cushion measures: 27.5" wide x 46" long with a 1" notch 10" from the top of seat bottom (to accommodate the arms).

I got prices to replace the cushion in a more user-friendly color of sunbrella fabric and got prices from $200 - $260 per chaise.I have ultimately abandoned this idea and have purchased terry cloth chaise cushion covers from Pottery Barn for less + the covers are washable!

Review of Outback Chair CCH-237 Charleston Rope Chair

My OLD review: I had used a friend's hammock chair before buying my own, but his was made of very thin synthetic threads that catch quite easily on buttons, etc. Not so with the Charleston! The cotton rope that makes up the weave is very comfortable to sit in all on its own, or with the chair cushion that is provided, and, if it happens to catch on something, it's no big deal. All I have to monitor with the kids is how far they swing...

I love it, my wife loves it, my kids love it. Can't wait to take it camping this Summer (though I may never leave the chair. Someone else has fire duty from now on).

AND NOW: well, the thing broke, repeatedly and in multiple places. The top part broke within a couple of months, at which point I filled out my warranty card and received a nice e-mail asking if I would send photos. When I finally got around to sending the photos, they included the several other places where the strands had simply snapped. I have not heard from Outback since sending the photos. DO NOT BUY THIS! Feels great to start, then falls to pieces. Total rip-off.

Review of Strathwood Camano All-Weather Wicker Sun Lounge

This item was a disapointment. Looks great in the picture but is cheaply made. Peices of the wicker were coming loose. The item is also very short. I am 5ft 10 and my feet stick off the end by a couple of inches. I guess you get what you pay for. If you spend $800-$1000 you will get much better construction and at the end of the day will last longer than this.

I don't normally write reviews, however, after reading the other reviews for this chair, I couldn't disagree more and felt I should voice my opinion.I love my Ostrich chair.I am 5'6" tall and have enjoyed many hours of comfort in this chair.Some of the claims in the above review are just not true.Laying face down is the most comfortable position and reading was quite easy..assuming it's not a windy day, but how can you blame wind on the chair (absurd).I hope my review helps others, as I truely believe the rating on this chair is unfair. I just received my two chairs! I just placed an order for two more! I did a ton of research on patio lounge chairs - pricing, quality etc.These chairs stand head to toe with restoration hardware, crate & barrel, pottery barn.They are the perfect weight.. not too heavy, not too light.
They look VERY expensive. WOW - sometimes I think these review are written by the manufacturer because they can be so glowing at times.. but I am just a customer so pleased that I got these and that they are this great. I was prepared to spend $555 per chair from Restoration Hardware.. but I got two for less than the price of one.Only other thing I would add though.. the cushions are not fantastic.I am thinking about ordering more comfortable ones with the all the money I saved.

Faulkner is a reputable company with a website that lists many retail sellers offering their products. They also have many parts available for separate purchase.

In addition, the price makes this chair a great buy (less than 100$). I hope to purchase another one to use outside for the summer months.

Review of Ostrich MP2a 2009 Beach Chaise

Got this chaise mid summer and it really does work quite well for comfortable face-down reading just like the photos imply.Sometimes the cover for the face hole pops off its velcro tabs when stretched tight but this has been only a minor issue.

The major issue here is that the chaise is on the short side -- if you're much taller than 5'8" you'll need to drape your legs over the edge -- and because the edge is fully ringed by the frame, this eventually becomes uncomfortable.The easy fix is to put a towel under your legs but it's too bad they didn't make this chaise just a few inches longer.

It's reasonably lightweight and the carrying strap works well for long-ish walks to the beach.Sits fairly high off the sand and it needs to, in order to allow for the face-down reading position.Getting your arms into the holes is pretty easy and the holes are positioned well for comfort.

Overall a superb product for someone of shorter stature, a bit less so for taller people.

This recliner is NOT meant for a big person. If you are small (under 5'5" and 130 lbs.) then you may fit nicely. The material is a thin plastic-like covering and my cat's nails went right through. Ive had them for a week now, i got them for my wife for mothers day.At 199 + 50 shipping (so 250) they are fairly inexpensive comparatively.Ive seen much nicer ones for about 50 bucks more lowes and costco.
Pros:
Cushion is REALLY nice.Super think and comfortable. Durable material
Not too clunky, so they are easy to carry around the yard.
Nice looking

Cons:
Fairly cheaply built.More plastic parts then I wanted to see.
Mine are a bit wobbly, but they are on some uneven concrete.
They don't lay down all the way flat...kind of a bummer.

Review of Strathwood Hardwood Chaise Lounge

Note: There is no category for 0 stars...

I did purchase two of these chaise lounges from Amazon.One arrived damaged and I had no problems exchanging it for a new one.I had these lounges on my new paver patio from June through October.they were covered with those green plastic covers.

A few things observed:
After a few months the sliding tray failed to slide out.
One of the dowels that hold up the back of the chair had cracked and fell apart.
My patio was stained with the orange dye used to make these chairs appear to be teak.

I emailed Amazon and explained the situation.I have to commend Amazon for REFUNDING ME ENTIRELY for my purchase and for the SHIPPING too, after having these chaise lounges for over 6 months. I received a refund for $239.98.Also, they gave me a $20 credit for my trouble.

Point is, the manufacturer is producing a terrible product and Amazon has had to deal with it.

In one of the emails, Amazon wrote to me and implied that they were not going to continue selling this product.Obviously they have not done that.

So word to the wise, do not buy these chairs.They look to be of high quality but are far from that.And, I wish you luck in getting your refund too.

Review of Strathwood Anti-Gravity Adjustable Recliners

It is value for your money.The chair is very comfortable and reclines as expected.The only problem was it came without instructions.The shipping box looked like it had to fight a cyclone.
You have to look for the small circular ring under the armrest to adjust the recliner and lock it by lifting it up when the desired position is attained.
Not as great as the 300$ recliners.But definitely worth 60$.

My husband and I purchased these amazing loungers for our pool.We have very modern taste and wanted the outdoor decor to reflect that same vibe.Well, we achieved the that look and everyone that comes over loves them.If you don't position your butt in the right spot you will feel like you're going to roll backwards but don't worry, you won't.It takes a little getting use to just be able to plop down because of the continual orital motion but they are very comfortable and durable.It's now August and we've had them outside since June, never bringing them in.The weather, sprinkler system and plenty of family and friends have had their turn at beating these loungers up but they still look good.The material and frame are still in excellent condition.(BTW- We didn't add the little side pocket, it took away from the look but good option.) When we do want to rearrange them we just grab the side handles and squeese them together and the chair collapses in.Great and easy way for transport when you want to move them to different positions around the pool or off the deck top all together.I highly recommend them.They came fast too,faster than the expected delivery date.
